Notes

Abel seemed to either not know when he was born or changed his age every census, he's 35 in 1860 (b 1824/25), and then he ages to 50 (b 1819/20) and then in 1880 he is 62. Likewise he changes the location where he was born and where his parents were born and his wife Eliza changes her age every census and where she was born as well. In any event he moves around but ends up in Wisconsin. In the 1870 Census Abel and Eliza had a son Willie age 9 b Iowa.
