!PARENTS: Dick Weber's Sprague Database (printout dated 7 Nov 1997) shows Bonus' parents as William Norton and Lucy Downing. Blaine Whipple's History and Genealogy of "Elder" John Whipple show similar parentage. Henry Burdette Whipple's A Partial List of the Descendants of Matthew Whipple, on the other hand, shows Bonus' parents as Rev. John Norton (b. 6 May 1606 in Starford, Herfordshird, England; d. 5 Apr 1663, a resident of Boston, Massachusetts) and his wife Mary, of Boston, Massachusetts.
