!OCCUPATION: "Commenced business as a dealer in dry goods; had a store on Westminster street, in Providence, and subsequently removed to Ohio; settled in Cincinnati, and engaged in the manufacture and sale of hats." --A.F. Avery, p. 145.

!DEATH: "In Marcy, 1837, his business called him to St. Louis, and taking passage in a steamer, had occasion to stop at Burlington, on the Mississippi river. The steamer arrived there in the evening, it being rainy and quite dark, and the gangway-plank icy, he slipped and fell overboard. His body was not recovered until life was extinct." --A.F. Angell, p. 145
