!SOURCE: "Evidence for Believing Barneville Whipple, Alias, Barnable B. Whipple, Alias Barney Whipple was Descended from John & Sarah Whipple of Providence, R.I." mailed to the Whipple Website by Gerry Yost, 1 Feb 2001. Gives marriage 16 Jan 1814. (Previously entered as 28 Jun 1814.)
!CHILDREN: "On April 4, 1807, Thomas had a son Abraham (Abram) Mosher, by Sarah Havens Tefft, widow of Gardner Tefft. There is no record of a marriage or divorce for this couple but both married others shortly thereafter. There is ample evidence ... to prove beyond doubt that Abram Mosher was son of Sarah Havens Gardner Bentley, and Abram named Thomas Mosher, father in his will." --G. Yost
!OCCUPATION: "A Washington County [New York] farmer." --G. Yost
!RESIDENCES: Moved with his parents from Richmond, R.I., to Argyle, N.Y. between 1802 and 1804, when he was about 20 years old.
!OBITUARY: "Mr. Thomas Mosher, an old citizen of this town, died very suddenly in the village on Friday morning last [18 Jun 1852]. He left his residence a short distance east of the village on some errand. He called at the house of Mr. Hosea Adams and while sitting there was suddenly seized with an afflication of the heart and died almost instantly. He was about 70 years of age. Though in humble circumstances, he was an industrious and worthy man." --Union Village Journal, Greenwich, N.Y., 24 Jun 1852. (submitted by G. Yost).
