McIsaac, John
Born at Bruce, Wisconsin, April 17, 1896. He was the son of John and Lena McIsaac. Entered service March 17, 1915, at Moose Jaw, Canada, in Company C, 46th. Canadian Infantry Batn. Trained at Moose Jaw, Can., and Sewell Camp England. Sailed for France June 31, 1915. Transferred to 4th Batn. Can. M. Gun Corps, promoted to rank of corporal. Was in the following battles: Sanctuary Woods, Somme, vimy, Avion, Hill 70, Passchaendale, Amiens, Battle of Arras, Bourlon Woods, valenciennes. Wound at Neuve Chappelle September24, 1915, sniper bullet in thigh, again at Hill 70, August 24, 1917, shrapnel in shoulder, again at St. Pierre, December 17, 1917, shrapnel in ankle. Landed at Halifax June 13, and mustered out June 16, 1919.
