Be it remembered that on the 8th day of June AD 1865 Charles Wippel and Marie Mars both [residents] of the aforesaid Parish personnelly appeared before me Justin Martin one of the Justice of the Peace in and for the Parish of Terrebonne Together with
all witnesses of full age and resident in the said Parish and that then and there the said Charles Wippel and Marie Mars having produced the licence required by law signified their desire and intention before us the said Justice and Witnesses to be united in the state of matrimony. Where upon after due Proclamation made and no impediments being suggested the said Charles Wippel and Marie Mars where by me the said justice in the Presence of the said witnesses joined in wedlock according to the laws of the state of louisiana and duly Pronounced husband and wife.
In testimony whereof the parties to the said marriage hereunto affix their signatures together with me the said justice and aforesaid witnesses on this 8th day of June AD 1865 at company's canol [?] in the Parish aforesaid.
