Ty Hardin is my second cousin. When I was in grammar school in the early sixties I used to have a writing pad with a picture of Ty Hardin as "Bronco Lane" on the cover. After a career in Hollywood, during which he married a Miss Universe, Ty Hardin dabbled in the writing of mystery novels, then achieved a certain notoriety as a survivalist and a leader of the Arizona Patriots, and finally settled in Costa Rica, where he busied himself with environmental concerns. I believe he is still alive.
