Maria Heath was the mother of all of Lyman's children. He married Catherine Becker after Maria died in 1864. The tree lists George Henry as the first of Catherine's "children". Catherine was the mother of George's wife Alnetta Phillips. This would mean that brother married sister. Also, George was born 5 December 1854 and Alnetta was born 28 January 1855. Sort of close together. Catherine and Joseph Phillips had eight children between 1838 and 1857. In the 1860 US Census, Maria is still alive and George is listed as 7 years old (WI). In the same year, Catherine and Joseph were living in Elgin Illinois and Alnetta was 5 years old.

The mistake probably originated with the 1870 census in Aurora WI when both Catherine's and Lyman's children were listed in the same household. There were 12 children and two son-in-laws enumerated. Lyman was my great-great grandfather.
