!BIOGRAPHY: "They lived in Pomfret Ct. until 1812 and had seven children there, then moved to HOmer, Cortalnd Co, NY, in 1812 where they joned the Baptist church, both having been baptised by their uncle (by marriage), Rev. Alfred Bennett. In Homer N their remaining children were born, 17 in all. 10 of them were boys, the youngest to die reaching the age of 72, the oldest 96. They removed with all their grown children & those chidren's families about 1838 to Waterford, Michigan & one of their sons, Rev. William Breed Grow has written a book called "Eighty Five Years of Life & Labor" detailing how there were under 50 families in the Detroit area when they moved to Wayne County with homes & the Grow Boys went into the home buildng business there for a short time. Elisha was the head of the Cortland Co, Bible Society in 1832." --L. Ozinga
