I'm going to go out on a limb and posit that, instead of Whipple being her maiden name, Frances Whipple {144344} is the wife of an unknown Whipple who she married after 1935 when she was listed as Frances Bidwell, widow, born MA 15 Feb. 1878, on the 1935 RI state census. Records indicate that she is Frances/Fannie I. Greene, dau. of George (b. MA June 1837) and his wife Hattie (b. MA July 1837) Greene.RI Marriage Records lists this marriage: Fannie I. Greene and Edwin M. Bidwell {144345} mar. RI 28 May 1901.
The Social Security Death Index has the following re Frances Whipple: born 15 Feb 1878 and died Oct. 1973 in Providence, Providence, RI.
