!SOURCE: Email from Charles Whipple (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 20 Sep 2008. "Robert Currie is listed as a member of St John's Anglican Church, perhaps [spouses Hope and Abigail] also were. Franklin R. Cushman, Kings Church/St. John's Church, 1722-1929 (Providence: St John Church, 1949) 1." Charles writes further:

As an aside: I found, but misplaced, a reference to the fact that Currie was a postmaster at Providence. His father-in-law, Samuel Whipple, is likewise listed as a postmaster. As soon as I find the reference again will forward it.
