!IDENTITY: This is not the Sarah Burlingame that was born in Glocester, Providence, Rhode Island on 19 Feb 1743/1744 and died in Glocester on 9 Dec 1845. (That individual's birth and death appear in James N. Arnold, Vital Record of Rhode Island 1636-1850, vol. 3, Glocester, part 1, p. 48). --Email from Rebecca Ott (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 30 Mar 2008:
I believe that the Sarah Burlingame birth and death dates in many of the databases are wrong. Arnold has a Sarah Burlingame who was born Feb 19, 1744 and died the next year on Dec 9. 1745 (not 1845), daughter of David and Mary Burlingame. A death date of 1845 for Sarah would make a marriage between Mehitable and Christopher [Whipple] questionable. I conclude that this is the wrong Sarah Burlingame.
