!BIOGRAPHY: "Sellic Osbon Browne, MD, Methodist, was born Sept. 23, 1821. Went to Fitchburg, Mass., 1843. Graduated at the New York Medical College 1855. In practice several years at Ware and Springfield, Mass. Licensed as a local preacher, 1858. Went west 1869. Admitted to the West Wisconsin Conference, 1869. Ordained by Bishop Simpson at Mineral Point, Wis., Oct. 9, 1871; and elder by Bishop Merrill at Baraboo, Wis., Sept. 21, 1873.
Appointments, all in Wisconsin. - Menominee, 1869; Oxford, 1870-1; Delton, 1872; Bloom Station, 1873-4; North Freedom, 1875; supernumerary, and practicing medicine there, 1876-8; and Baraboo, 1878-83.
