Lettie prob. died after the birth of her last child, as she does not appear on the June 28, 1860 Census Springport, Cayuga, NY p.621, where Marshall Whipple {94697} age 73 farm laborer is living with: Sarah R. 48, Hiram {94979} 23 (boatman), Harvey {94985} 18, William {94986} 15, Marshall Jr. {94988} 13, Chas. {94989} 10, & David {94992} 7, all b. NY. Is Sarah R. Whipple {b. abt 1812} a 2nd wife?
