South Cemetery is the correct name. When you see "Old South" it simply helps indicate which section of that cemetery a person is interred. This cemetery has had 3 extensions thus far, all the same South Cemetery.Whipple [Website] indicating "Richmond Cemetery" must be giving a general location, none by that name. There are 18 cemeteries in the little town of Richmond! [pop. 1,155 on 2010 Census] The larger main cemeteries for Richmond are: South, Middletown & Benson. All the others are Quaker & small neighborhood &/or family plots:
