!IMMIGRATION: Came to Ipswich from Boston, England, in 1638.

!RESIDENCES: In 1642, bought a house and lot at the eastern corner of Market and Summer Streets, then called Annable's Lane, in Ipswich. (This was not the house of Matthew Whipple, his father-in-law, which was at the corner of County and Summer Streets.)
