!SOURCE: Email from email hidden to the Whipple Website, 23 Dec 2002. Indicates that Elias and Fanny are buried in the Big Barren Cemetery in Union County, Tennessee. "Most of these graves were relocated when the Tennessee Valley Authority flooded the area, and the gentleman [named D. Sexton] in the listing wrote:
Up until this year most of the East End where their graves are was overgrown. At last I mowed it this summer. This area contains about 250 or more graves. I have about 2/3 of it cleared. The worst part is still ahead of me! This area has been used as a dumping ground for old flowers and other trash from the main cemt."In the part I've cleaned I got a pickup load of junk. And it gets worse!
I can now find a persons grave by measuring and using the plot maps.--D. Sexton
