!SOURCE: Email from Anne Billeter to Weldon Whipple, 12 Jan 2009. Cites notes of a record in Humboldt County (CA) Courthouse, vol. 926-46 dated 2 Feb 1933, apparently recording the detailf of husband's accidental death: "accident - burning cabin; 7 miles south of Miranda - suffocation." Gives address of Mrs. W.H. Whipple (the informant) as 1782 Sanchez St., San Francisco, CA. (This might not be Dorothy, however. The 1930 census lists Willis as single living in the "Army & Navy YMCA," in San Francisco.
