Notes the following: "US Federal Census, 1850, presume to be son of this Joseph; NH Vital Records, Concord, NH, Marriage record lists parents as Joseph and Lydia B.; There is a Lyman who died 3.8.1885, ae 81, 4 mos, 16 days mar, Sunapee, could be this Lyman, no parents listed on record."

!SOURCE: Email from Anne Billeter (email hidden) to Weldon Whipple, 23 Apr 2006. Anne writes: "Lyman Whipple (I97775) was born 20 Dec 1834 in Hebron, NH, son of Joseph and Lydia (Blaisdell) Whipple. He died 6 Dec 1908 in Lebanon NH. I have a photo of his gravestone in the School Street Cemetery in Lebanon, alongside his wife Katherine Walker. My Mother guessed that Katherine Walker and Kate Smith were the same person. She thought Katherine Walker married someone Smith, went by 'Kate', then married Lyman Whipple 27 Jan 1859."
