!SOURCE: Email from Lois E. Sorensen (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 24 May 2005. Lois writes: "The 1795 death date for Mercy Angell (#96311), wife of Joseph Comstock (#69580, son of Samuel Comstock & Anne Browning), is incorrect. She could not have died 13 Aug 1795 because she remarried as Mrs. Marcy Comstock, widow of Capt. Joseph, in Nov 1795 and died in Aug 1797 at Lansingburgh, NY, as Mercy Remington, as reported in the Providence Gazette and several other Rhode Island newspapers."
