Her birth record shows that her full name was Edith Marion Louisa Bamforth. The could become useful since Edith was Samuel William's first wife. After she died, he married her sister, Marian Louise Bamforth.

I was completely confused trying to sort out the records, but fortunately, my mother remembered her great-aunt and the story.

(My great-grandfather was Charles Henry Bamforth, Edith and Marian's younger brother.)
