Also, I think his headstone says August 31, 1842 for DOB (1900 census says August 1842) instead of 1847. Source for parents' names is RIVRs online at Ancestry.com; DOD is also given in the RI Index of Deaths, 1901-1905, Bristol, 2, so it's probable that he died in Bristol, Providence [i.e. Bristol], RI."
