I did a little sleuthing, starting with the note under John N. Whipple {7906}: " SIBLING: In his death notice in the Willimantic Journal, it states that John is the sister "of Mrs. Stephen Kimbel, of Willimantic, of Norwich, Vt." My conclusion is that "Mrs. Stephen Kimbel" is Lucy A. Whipple {7905}. Her first husband was James Allen {102121}, about whom I could find nothing online. They had a child--Allen, Mary J., daughter of James {102121} & Lucy {7905}, died May 21, 1832, age 1 yr 8 mos {b. abt Sept. 1830}, footstone at the "Whipple Cemetery" at Ashford, Ct., located in woods, 1 mile north of Ashford (Hale Collection).

In 1836 Lucy A. Whipple {7905} married Stephen Kimbel: Kimball, Stephen H., m. Lucy Allen, b. of Willimantic, Oct. 10, 1836, by Rev. Philo Judson, at Willimantic; 3:179 (src: Windham, Windham, CT Births, Marriages, Deaths 1692X1850). Stephen Kimbel's birth was recorded in the Ashford, Windham, CT Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1710X1851 as: Kimball, Stephen Hyde, s. Stephen & Salla, b. June 26, 1804; 4:76. Stephen and Lucy (Whipple) Kimbel are buried in the Old Cemetery, Windham Co., CT:

• In 1836 Lucy A. Whipple {7905} married Stephen Kimbel: Kimball, Stephen H., m. Lucy Allen, b. of Willimantic, Oct. 10, 1836, by Rev. Philo Judson, at Willimantic; 3:179 (src: Windham, Windham, CT Births, Marriages, Deaths 1692X1850).
