Also cites The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 23:231, April 1869: "SPOONER, Samuel A. in Albany, NY, Nov. 1, 1868, aged 58 years, 11 mos. and 7 days. {born abt Nov. 24, 1809} He married Jan. 1, 1835 Margaret Shuter, daughter of John and Joanna (Salisbury) Shuter, born Sept. 2, 1820. Samuel A. was a son of Daniel and Lucy (Wilder) Spooner of Heath, MA, and grandson of Shearjashub and Susanna {sic} (Whipple) Spooner of Heath, gr.grandson of Daniel and Elizabeth (Ruggles) Spooner of Petersham, MA. Daniel S. lived to the age of 104 years; his wife was a daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Ruggles of Rochester, MA."
