"I think I've found the (possible) mother and the grandparents of Willard Ernest Whipple {75037}. He is included as the five-year-old grandson of Ernest and Mary A. Shufflebotham in the 4/24/1930 census, Youngstown, Mahoning, OH, p. 250. It was noted that Willard was born in OH as were both his parents. Ernest Shufflebotham was 58 years old and was born in England abt 1872. His wife Mary A. ? was 56 years old and born in Scotland about 1874. The 1/5/1920 Youngstown, Mahoning, OH census, p. 182, enumerated Ernest Shufflebotham and his family. Included were two daughters: Emily, age 15, born in OH (abt 1905) and Mary, age 13, born in OH (abt 1907). My speculation is that one of these daughters (who do not appear on the 1930 census in Ernest's family) is Willard's mother (probably Emily, the older one)."
!OCCUPATION: "An engineer and entrepreneur, he founded Tech Designs, a company he owned and operated for over 20 years, retiring in 1997. Before opening his own business, he had worked as a production engineer for the Foxboro (Mass.) Co. for 15 years, and previously worked for Digital Electronic Corp. for 5 years." --Obituary
