!SPOUSE: : Michel L. Call, Royal Ancestors of some L.D.S. Families (1972), p. 110, incorrectly gives Hepsibah's husband as a William Gordon Hutchins (see below).

!SPOUSE: The will of Ensign William Hutchins (see Hepsibah's 2nd husband) states that Hepsibah Cressey was his wife. Previously genealogists had recorded her as the wife of Ensign William Hutchins' son, Lt. William Hutchins. This finding agrees with the book "Descendents of John Hutchins of Haverhill and Newbury, Mass.," by E.C. Byam, p. 19-20. (This book is in the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City, call number 929,273 H97 hec.)
