Although William Wesley (or Wesley William) is not mentioned in the obituary of Wesley's grandmother, Deborah Burns Whipple (David Whipple's mother), it appears that William Wesley was in fact a son of David and Nettie. (The obituary states that Deborah E. Burns had 11 grandchildren; Lynda's note identifies all eleven--and none of them are William Wesley. Lynda believes that it "must have simply been wrong! There should have been 12 rather than 11--including Wesley William Whipple.") The 1920 census of Cambridge, Henry County, Illinois is proof of William W.'s membership in the family.
