A note on Barnum Whipple. Many sources including your database have Barnum married to a Catherine Lansing. This is also the wife's name in the DAR books. His wife's name in the below referenced source was Mary Gathing and she was noted as the mother of the three children (Whipple) - George, Catherine and Charlotte. -- Source: Genealogical History of the Families of Robinson, Safford, Harwood and Clark, Sarah Robinson, Bennington VT 1837. (all of these connections are Harwood - Peter Harwood, brother to Abigail, m a Clark. Peter's daughter Sarah m a Robinson whose mother was a Safford)
