!RESIDENCES: "Robert Follett & his wife Anna Whipple (sister of Luther), came to Roxbury [New York] about 1796 from Roxbury, Mass. [Could it have been Connecticut?] ... There is a family tradition that the Folletts named our town as they came from Roxbury Mass. The name was originally LaFollette; they were French Huguenots. The famous 'Bob LaFollette' of Wisconsin is said to be a relative. They lived somewhere on the "hill", a farm now owned by the Kennedys. The last of the name around here, was the late Grant Follett of Grand Gorge." --L. & B. Ozinga
