!NAME: Always went by Job D. Whipple (with middle initial "D"--probably to distinguish himself from other Job Whipples living in the area). Although H.B. Whipple doesn't use the middle initial, a scanned image of Job D.'s obituary (emailed by Clark Edwards [email hidden] to Weldon Whipple on 8 Mar 1998) clearly states the name as Job D. Whipple.

!DEATH: Although H.B. Whipple gives a probable death date of April 1922, in California, Job D.'s obituary gives his death date as 28 Mar 1922, in Geneseo, Livingston County, NY.
