!RESIDENCES: "The family moved to Oakfield, New York about 1907 where Silas had a farm. In 1909, Silas was working at a gypsum mill. In the early 1920's the family moved to Southfield, Michigan where Wilbur [his son] had preceded them and prepared a home. Silas was a farmer and carpenter." --C. Shelby
