"Re Lovey Gilbert's birthplace: I received a letter from C. White, Deputy Town Clerk of Turner, Me on September 4, 200l in response to my request for birth records for my Gilbert relatives. The Town Clerk sent me copies of what they call "Record Cards" that they keep on file in their office for birth, death and marriage. The card for LOVEY GILBERT states: Place of Birth: Turner; Date of Birth: Dec. 24, 1829; Father's name: Caleb Gilbert (residence,Turner) Mother's Maiden Name: Achsah Burgess (birthplace: of Wayne; Certified by Earl B. Hodsdon.

"These are hand written cards, probably copied from the original records. Lovey Haven Gilbert's death place is of Waltham, Ma as I have her death certificate and obituary. The burial place is at Framingham Ma in the South Cemetary, Framingham Ma Middlesex Co. The Framingham vital statistics were very wrong. I have been to the cemetary and have photos of the gravesite where she and her husband are buried."
