The burial site for the following is the Austin/Thayer/Gorton Lot "on Sprague Avenue in Lincoln, Providence, RI": Silence Whipple {29468}, Joshua Arnold {29469}, Dinah Arnold {29474}, George Olney Smith {45086}, Sylvia Arnold {29473}, Hannah Arnold {29478} (abt 1822-26 SEP 1905), her children John S. Short abt 1856-17 FEB 1920, Joshua Short 1858-4 FEB 1858, and Jeremiah Short 1859-28 JUN 1859, Horace Arnold {29475} abt 1810-7 AUG 1876,

The Town of Lincoln was formed in 1871 from Smithfield, so most likely those of this family who died before that time "officially" died in Smithfield and after 1871 in Lincoln. I tend to go with the town where the records can be found.
