Based on the 1850 (and subsequent) census, I would like to propose that Wallace Whipple {44682} and William Whipple {[formerly at 103404]} are the same person, the son of Inman Whipple {44662}. Here's the 1850 census info:In 1850 our man is William W., in 1860 he is Wallace, and in 1870 he's back to using William. Shall we dub him William Wallace Whipple?
