!NOTE: Email from Blaine Whipple, 3 Jan 1999, indicates that his database doesn't include Samuel among the seven children (including 3 males) of Josiah and Eunice. However, that doesn't eliminate the possibility that Samuel IS in fact an eighth child, according to Blaine.
