'Mrs. Nancy A Stair DiesCraig also cites the 1930 census, which "shows a Nancy Stair, age 70, living on Beech Street in Wilkes-Barre, with a son Monroe, next the residence of Edward Stair, his wife Lorraine, and son Norman. The enumeration was done on April 3, 1930, so the death would have been 1930, bef 21 Aug but after 3 Apr.'Mrs. Nancy A. Stair, 71, well known and esteemed resident of this city, died suddenly at her home, 28 Beach street, shortly before 12 on Monday night of comlications. She was born in Illinois, but resided for the greater part of her life in Stairville and this city. She was a member of Grove Street Evangelical church.
'Surviving are the following children, Marvin, Earl, Monroe and Edward of this city, Mrs. Frank Kichner of Wanamie, Mildred Stair of Lehman, and her brother and sisters, Mrs. W.L. Seigel and Simon Sims of this city and Mrs. Edward Whitebread of Slocum. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
'The funeral be held on Friday afternoon at 2 pm with interment atRippletown cemetary, near Albert.'"
