Ceremony by Justice P. J. McCook Soon After the License Is ObtainedMrs. Dorothy Rennard Benjamin of the Hotel Berkshire and George Hyde Clarke of Hyde Hall, Cooperstown, N. Y., obtained a marriage license at the Municipal Building yesterday morning and were married at noon by Supreme Court Justice Philip J. McCook in his chambers. Further details of the ceremony were not disclosed by the family.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clifford Rennard of the Hotel Weylin and a sister of John Townshend Rennard of Hempstead, L. I., who married Ruth M. Gaynor, daughter of the late Mayor William J. Gaynor of New York. She is the former wife of Henry Rogers Benjamin, son of William Evarts Benjamin and grandson of the late Henry Huddleston Rogers. The marriage ended in divorce on Nov. 27.
Mr. Clarke was graduated from Harvard in 1911. He is a member of the Racquet and Tennis and Harvard Clubs. His marriage to the former Miss Emily B. Ryerson was terminated by divorce in Reno, Nev., in 1931. She is now the wife of S. Beach Cooke of Cooperstown.
