!BIOGRAPHY: John Bradley migrated to Jasper county Iowa in the fall of 1864. He left his wife and 2 smallest children in the east while he prepared a place for them to live. In May 1865 Elllen (Kilmer) and children with her parents George and Hannah Kilmer joined him. They later moved to Audubon County Iowa in 1877. John Bradley bought a farm, built a house and set out trees but after living in Audubon County a few years moved to South Dakota in 1882. It was then a territory. They stayed just a few months then moved again to Fremont County Iowa. They first settled in the town of Hamburg and later moved to a farm near Sidney, Iowa which was their last home. John Bradley died in 1911 and his wife Ellen died in August 1935 at the age of 91 years and 9 months, both are buried in Sidney. Their farm is still owned and operated by Whipples." --R.W. Jefferson
