He writes: "John Chace [Barton's father] is a known Patriot of the American Revolution. I had to prove myself a descendant, and on just this past Friday I received word in the mail that my membership had been approved for NSSAR (National Society, Sons of the American Revolution), listing John Chace as my Patriot ancestor. John's father-in-law, William Wilkinson is also a known Patriot of the American Revolution, and I will be applying for a supplemental membership under his name in the near future."
