Notes

• Charles Young born circa 1840 in England. This might be 08 Oct 1840 based on naturalization records processed 21 Oct 1893. He died between 1880 and 1900. He appears in the 1880 census. However, by the 1900 Census, Mary is living with Walter & Lena Whipple and is listed as a widow.
• The 1900 Census for Walter A Whipple and Lena M Whipple would seem to indicate that this is the correct family as Walter's mother-in-law Mary B Young is living with them.

I *may* have found Charles Young's date of death. It might be 02 Apr 1900. The 1900 Providence Directory has a Young, Charles (Painter) Died April 2, 1900.

This *might* be the same person. I'm just having a little trouble with addresses.

Starting with the 1880 US Census, I can match Charles Young from there to the Charles Young painter in the 1880 Providence Directory. They have the same address of 58 (rear) Earle's Lane. However, following Charles (no middle initial) Young, painter through the Providence directories, I get a series of addresses and no way to match those addresses to known data. And then I get to the 1900 Providence directory wit the April 2 1900 date. The 1900 Census was taken 02 Jun 1900 in Providence. This would be the right timing for an April death of her husband.

I'm really hating the lack of the 1890 Federal and 1895 RI Census. Painful.
