Norman Burdett Ellsworth, 87, of Arlington died at 11:20 a.m. Friday in Grace hospital.Mr Ellsworth was born Dec 7, 1861, in Burr Oak, Mich. He came to Hutchinson in 1880 and has been a resident of Reno county since. He farmed for many years in the Langdon neighborhood and lived in Arlington since retiring from the farm.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mable Lock, Penrose, Calif., and a son, Guy, Parsons.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church at Arlington Rev. Paul Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington cemetery.
He came to Langdon, Reno County, Kansas, in 1880, with his father and step-mother (Ann). 1880 census for Reno Co., Ks shows him as Norman B. Elsworth age 18 living with his father Norman Elsworth.
After his marriage to Ida Jerauld they lived in Langdon, Reno Co.,Ks, until 1894-1897, when the family lived in Gillespie County, Texas on the Morris Ranch.
In 1897 they moved back to Arlington Township, Reno County, Kansas, near the town of Langdon.
