"She was raised in Amherst Massachusetts.Y Her father was a live stock dealer.Y It appears the family was well off.Y Ruth traveled a bit prior to her marriage.Y Ruth lived with her parents when she returned from Constantinople and she was married a few years later.Y I believe she made several trips abroad 1917-1920 in the restoration work and continued to travel prior to and Yafter her marriage but I do not know for what purpose."
