• Of Atlantic, Iowa 1881, was in Ohio 1880
• No real proof that this Frank E. is the son of Roswell. There does appear to be a Frank in Roswell's line. from the census report.
• In rootsweb, Descendants of Roswell Whipple, Frank E. is not listed as son of Roswell. It does list a Frank Whipple b Aug 1858 to Clarissa Whipple, dau of Roswell, m to a Gray with a notation that Frank's name was Whipple, not Gray.
• In the 1880 census he is listed as the son of Hannah Whipple, widow of Roswell, however it also lists his father born in Ohio, not Vermont and his mother born NJ. There very well could be two in this line of the same name as in 1910 a Frank appears in a household with his Uncle William Whipple in Morgan. This Frank is age 60, puttiing his DOB as abt 1859. Another Frank same age is with wife Clara and son Byron are in the same county, different townships and this is the one rootsweb has as the son of Clarissa Whipple.
• The Frank married to Osgood is found as follows: 1900 Atlantic Iowa, South Locust St., Whipple, Frank E b May 1857 m 19 yrs, b VT, par b VT, clothing merchant; Mary L wife b Jan 1859 b NH, par b unknown
