The will of Ellen Whipple of the City of New York, dated 26 Feb 1870 is found on familysearch.org in "New York Probate Records, 1629-1871, New York County, Wills, 1871-1872, vol. 206, images 122-124. The will was recorded for probate on 6 May 1872, John Whipple executor. Ellen Whipple is "late of the County of New York deceased" and there are heirs minor, for whom a special guardian was appointed. I did not locate the complete probate papers, just the will with a brief paragraph preceding the will with the info I just provided, and statements by the two witnesses of the will. Briefly the will:Anne also cites the following sources: "source for b. & d. = FHL film 2,027,053, NY, NYC Municipal Deaths, 1795-1949, cert #33559); she is bur.
