• Edmund "married Sophronia Ellen McKinley on August 20, 1865 in Moscow Maine. Sophronia was born March 6, 1849 in Bingham Maine, daughter of John McKinley, born 1810 in Ireland, died 1897 in Fremont Wisc., and Emeline Smith born in Moscow, Somerset, Maine."
• "In the 1870 census Edmund and Sophronia were living with her parents in Fremont Wisc. Edmund was a farm laborer age 23 and Sophronia was 21 both born in Maine and children at that time were Mary E. age 4 and Frederick A. age 9 mos."
• "In 1880 they were in the same place, ages 33 and 31 and had added Everett age 1 to the family."
• "In 1900 they were in Longmont, Boulder, Colorado, Edmund born May 1848, age 35 and Sophronia born March 1850 had given birth to 4 children, 3 of whom were still living. The only child in the household was Everett age 22 born Nov 1877, and also in the household was grandchild Vesta Ferrall/Farrell born Aug 1887 age 12."
