!SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 20 Jan 2007. Notes the following:
Arnold's VRs (2:1:249, Providence 2:82) records the birth of Harriet Thayer on April 16, 1787 in Charlestown, South Carolina, dau. of David and Sarah Thayer. However, both the marriage and grave record say that she is the dau. of Williams Thayer, and Arnold has been known to make mistakes in his transcriptions. Also, David Thayer d. in 1780, so he couldn't be Harriet's father, even though other info is correct.
