!SOURCE: Email from Anne Billeter to Weldon Whipple, 1 May 2009. She writes: "Emmett Whipple's Washington death certificate gives his birthdate erroneously as 21 April 1859. His age is given as 79 year, 1 month, 7 days. So he was born 1849. The death certificate gives his birthplace as Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH. It states that his burial place is Topeka, Shawnee, KS. He died of apoplexy. The informant was his son-in-law Herbert Wyckoff."
