DEATH OF GEORGE WHIPPLE.
The father of George A. WHIPPLE Jr., manager of the Brooklyn Beef Company, at 74, Atlantic Avenue, died suddenly on Monday at his home in Amherst, Mass. Mr. WHIPPLE, a brother of MAJ-GEN Amiel W. WHIPPLE, a brave soldier mortally wounded in the battle of Chancellorsville in 1863, was for many years in the business in Boston, and a wide acquaintance in the meat and Market business.
