According to Nina Thomas, a descendant of Levi Melvin, 9/25/1880-12/21/1966 s/o Levi W & Dorcas, Levi married Jane Josephine Rossell in 1898 and they were divorced.She remarried Joseph Vyse and Levi M remarried Mary Bolch. In the 1910 MI Tuscola census Jane was listed as head; had 8 children with 6 living; with Lucille 9 & Melvin Jr.6 Suggesting that she & Levi M were separated or divorced.In the 1930 MI Genesee Vienna census Joseph H Vyse 39, md @ age 26 has with him Jannie J 48, 1st marriage @ age 18 and son Edward C 12; daughter Rhoda M 9; son Wilbert C 8 & adopted daughter Jelpah 8/12 changed to 0/12.
Going back in censi one can find Joseph & his parents & sibs.
Nothing jumped out re Mary Bolch except a tombstone found by Cindy: Ellington Burials Whipple Levi M d. 23 Dec 1966 b 1880 blk2 lot43 sp2 and Whipple Mary S d 17 June 1961 b 1891 blk2 lot43 sp3
and one stone for both Levi & Mary.
