"Zerviah (called Viah) b abt 1777 Fairfield, CT, resided at Liberty, Saratoga, New York 'daughter of Isaiah an early settler there'. YShe is noted in the History of Saratoga as being the first school mistress there in 1797.Y She married YDavid Rowland in Liberty ... David was born in CT. and came from Onadaga C NY to Liberty to court Zerviah. ... I believe the couple resided in Onondaga County as they are both buried there in the Apulia Cemetery located in Fabius Onondaga, NY. ... Her stone reads Zurviah, widow of David Rowland, died Dec 31, 1849 aged 72 years."
